Corporate Lead Officer – Schools, Lifelong Learning and Culture
Ceredigion County Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to serve as the Corporate Lead Officer for Schools, Lifelong Learning, and Culture and undertake the statutory responsibilities of Chief Education Officer.
Key Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will act as the chief advisor to the Council on matters related to school improvement, educational attainment, infrastructure, lifelong learning, and cultural services. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping and implementing strategic objectives that enhance service provision across the county.
About You
To excel in this role, you will have:
* Educational Background: A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience as well as Qualified Teacher Status.
* Leadership Experience: At least five years of management experience in educational resources or a related area.
* Strategic Planning Skills: A proven track record in strategic planning, performance management, and financial oversight.
* Communication Skills: Excellent leadership and communication abilities, with a talent for engaging stakeholders effectively.
* Regulatory Knowledge: An excellent understanding of legislation and regulation as it relates to the Schools, Lifelong Learning and Culture Service.
