This role could be perfect for you We are looking for an experienced Head Cook to assist our Catering Manager at our Grosvenor Hall centre in Ashford. As our Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will support the Kitchen Manager to ensure that all kitchen operations and activities are carried out in line with the business' operating standards and procedures. You will support with recruiting, managing and mentoring the kitchen team and creating a team environment which promotes good employee morale and ensures a high level of commitment and pride in the activity centre. This is a full-time, permanent position, worked over 5 days a week including some weekends. Key Role Responsibilities: Cooking the set menu using agreed products and set portions Following HACCP procedures (safety & compliance) and servicing of equipment Reporting any broken/faulty equipment and arranging for the relevant contractors to attend site Maintain the sites 5-star EHO score Ordering of stock on a daily or weekly basis Supporting the Kitchen Manager with rotas for staff which do not exceed the given budget Creating meal rotas for guests Leading the front of house team, ensuring guests are greeted when they arrive at Diner and maintaining excellent customer service Allergen management and speaking to guests' pre-arrival to discuss any complex allergens/requirements Managing the faith Diner, ensuring guests who book this space arrive to a clean and functional space Ensure that all kitchen operations and activities are carried out in line with all applicable legal requirements. About you: You will have management experience and the drive to be quality focused, efficient, able to work at pace, and motivated to help us provide a safe, caring environment where everyone can thrive. You will need: Experience of working in/managing a catering/ busy kitchen environment and complying with health and safety standards Experience working as part of a team and using your own initiative, and be able to develop, drive and inspire Have the ability to adapt the menu efficiently and cater for bookings in a timely manner Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills Willingness to undertake training and professional development Excellent front of house and customer service skills Flexible with your working patterns Intermediate food hygiene Certification essential, advanced is desirable Knowledge on stock control to minimise food wastage Why join Kingswood?
