In this role, you will learn about each of the key pillars of SEO, including Technical SEO, On-Site targeting and research, Content research and briefing, and Outreach. Once you have a strong foundation in all areas, there will be opportunities to focus on one if you find you have a real passion for a particular pillar.
There is a strong focus on content writing as part of this role, so excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills with meticulous attention to detail will be needed. You will be able to learn effectively, working both individually and as part of a team, and you will show initiative and a 'can do' approach. You will have strong analytical and numerical skills as you will be analyzing large data sets and drawing conclusions and recommendations. You will be extremely comfortable making connections with new people and diligently following up with emails and calls to support our work.
As the environment is fast-paced, time management will be one of the more important skills you possess, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your tasks, sometimes being under pressure to meet deadlines. You will also be enthusiastic with a committed work ethic.
If you are completely new to SEO, we expect you to have done your research. You don’t need to have prior experience, but we do want to know that you are familiar with the basic concepts, and we also expect you to be able to demonstrate your genuine interest in a career in this field. Equally, if you already have some experience of SEO and are looking for an opportunity to develop your skills in our specialist team, we would love to hear from you.
If you would like to apply, please include a covering letter as well as your CV.
What we offer
Based in the heart of Epsom, Fingo is a full-service, integrated digital marketing agency that has spent the last 20+ years supporting businesses to grow through online brand building, lead generation, and conversion optimization.
With a proven track record of boosting revenue for our clients, we empower ambitious sales and marketing teams to develop their businesses through digital strategy and delivery. Fingo is built on integrity, innovation, and excellence, and we’re proud to be recognized as a people-based agency.
We feel that it is important that everyone comes into our office some of the time as we all benefit from being together, so we have a hybrid working model where you are in the office at least two days per week and can then choose to work remotely for the rest of the time. We get together for our monthly Agency Day too – we’re a social bunch with a work-hard-play-hard mantra, so that’s an additional opportunity for us to all come together.
We offer training and knowledge-sharing opportunities along with regular social events and team building. We also offer flexible working hours, one day’s paid volunteering, your Birthday off, and a cycle to work scheme. Everyone’s wellbeing is really important to us, so we also have a wellbeing ambassador who shares resources, carries out regular wellness check-ins, and generally makes sure we are all ok!
Salary: £20,000 to £28,000 pa but this is dependent on experience.
