Thalia Waste Management is looking for a Business Support Apprentice to join our team supporting the delivery of our waste disposal contract with West Northamptonshire Council. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business administration while working in a fast-paced operational environment. You will learn on the job and complete a recognised business administration qualification.
* Hourly Rate: £12.21 per hour
* Monday - Friday
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the day-to-day running of the site office, handling administrative tasks.
* Support weighbridge operations, ensuring accurate data entry and vehicle records.
* Process purchase orders, invoices, and financial documentation.
* Maintain electronic and physical records in line with compliance requirements.
* Help prepare reports and presentations for internal meetings.
* Liaise with site staff, customers, suppliers, and local authorities.
* Assist in monitoring and updating compliance and health & safety records.
* Coordinate deliveries, collections, and site logistics as required.
* Provide first-line support to customers and suppliers, handling queries professionally.
* Support internal communications, including updating noticeboards.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (required).
Skills and Attributes
* Strong organisational and administrative skills.
* Good written and verbal communication.
* Attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload.
* Willingness to learn and develop new skills.
* Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
No prior experience is required, as full training will be provided.
