The DT Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that develop students' practical skills, problem-solving abilities, and understanding of design principles. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons that inspire and challenge students. Teach a range of DT topics, including but not limited to product design, electronics, textiles, and engineering. Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and encouraged to explore their creativity. Assess student progress through a variety of methods, providing constructive feedback and support for improvement. Collaborate with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and enrichment opportunities. Stay up to date with developments in DT education and industry trends, integrating relevant advancements into the curriculum. Participate in departmental meetings, parent consultations, and school events as required. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in design, Engineering, Education, or related field (Master's degree preferred). Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching certification. Proven experience teaching DT at the secondary level, with a track record of student success. Strong knowledge of DT curriculum frameworks and assessment practices.
