£14.51 - £16.11 per hour plus enhancements

About Us:
Wheatfield's Hospice is in Headingley, Leeds. We provide expert palliative care. We support people living with a life-limiting condition, and also provide help and advice to their loved ones and family.
About the Role:
The successful applicants will play an active role within our team. It's all about giving our patients the best possible quality of life. The support we offer is tailored to meet individuals' medical, social, spiritual, and emotional needs.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide support, leadership, recognition, and supervision to other team members as appropriate.
2. Demonstrate own activities to new or less experienced colleagues and carry out day-to-day supervision of work of others.
3. Support education, training, demonstration, and guidance to carers, colleagues, and students as appropriate.
4. Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualised clinical care of service users using evidence-based guidelines and provide specialist advice to service users.
5. Use evidence-based practice to develop and maintain high-quality service user care and ensure the continuous improvement of the Sue Ryder nursing service. Follow policies and contribute ideas on proposals for change.
About You:
You will be an NMC registered nurse, with post-registration experience. While palliative care experience is desirable, we will accept applications from nurses of varying backgrounds with a desire to learn. You will need to demonstrate the ability to work well within a team, use initiative, and have excellent communication skills.
