Salary: £40,000- £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
Job Summary:
Join our dynamic team as a Quality Engineer, where you'll play an essential role in maintaining and improving our high-quality standards across various engineering projects. As a Quality Engineer, your primary focus will consist of managing daily quality concerns, implementing new procedures, and improving overall quality standards of internal departments and supply chain.
Through the general quality principles, (NCR’s, Root cause analysis, CAPA etc.) You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the production and delivery processes

Role & Responsibilities
1. Establish and maintain high-quality standards across the business.
Read and check engineering drawings, specifications, and quality records ensuring accuracy, and compliance with relevant standards.
2. Ensure accurate understanding of product requirements and specifications, with suppliers and internal teams.
3. Investigate quality issues and non-conformities, perform root cause analysis, implement corrective and preventive actions.
4. Creating training materials and best practice guides for staff and suppliers.
5. Manage, investigate and resolve customer complaints.
Participate in and support product and process continuous improvement activities based on a range of tools and techniques.
6. To carry out inspection quality control activities involved in delivering continuous improvement in product quality and business objectives.
7. Communicate quality statistics and improvement activities to the QEHS manager.
8. Perform internal and external audits of our business and sub-contract base.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* Proven experience with over 5 years of industry experience in a quality management role within manufacturing/engineering.
* Experience within a foundry environment would be advantageous.
* Knowledge of maintaining quality management systems (ISO 9001)
* Experienced with audits, lead auditor training would be beneficial
* Good communication skills and confidence in dealing with customers, suppliers, and other business units.
* Valid UK Driving Licence
* Must be willing to travel nationally and occasionally internationally.
* Ability to work autonomously and manage your own time.
* Knowledge of ISO14001 / ISO45001 advantageous.
* With the role reporting into the QEHS department, a good comprehension of health and safety principles must be always upheld
