A bit about the job:
We’re looking for an Investment Operations Manager to support the Trustee of our staff pension schemes. In this role, you’ll ensure smooth running of investment operations by overseeing investment processes and producing reports to enable the oversight of investment risks. You will also act as secretary to the Defined Benefit Committee and Asset and Liability Committee, coordinating meetings, preparing meeting materials, and documenting decisions.
You’ll work with a range of internal and external stakeholders, including Aviva Investors, Aviva’s Workplace Pensions and Bulk Purchase Annuities businesses, Aviva Group, fund managers, and advisors.
Skills and experience we’re looking for:
1. Good understanding of trust-based pensions (both Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution).
2. Knowledge of investment principles, including asset classes and investment structures used by large UK pension schemes.
3. Highly organised with strong communications skills and the ability to learn quickly.
4. Experience of typical investment return and risk statistics by institutional investors.
5. Background in a relevant investment or pension fund role.

* Salary – Circa £70,000 - £75,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
