Senior Design Engineers - New opportunities have been created for enthusiastic engineers to join the Mid-Range Product Engineering team working on future developments.
These roles are for Senior Engineers to be involved with the design and development of the Backhoe Loader products Worldwide (3/4/5CX, 1CX and 3CX Compact) as part of our Client’s ambitious plans, primarily focusing on the development of new technology and alternative energy as key foundations for their growth.
Reporting to the Chief Engineer, you will join a focused Global team working on the design and development of new products and innovative solutions for customers across the entire product range. You will be expected to work primarily in the design office, but will also be required to give regular support to the Development team to ensure testing is carried out smoothly and in line with project requirements.
Senior Design Engineer Role:
* Design of concept ideas and review / assessment of the same from other areas of the Group Engineering Category Teams.
* Take responsibility for ensuring that the overall technical delivery of the machine and systems meet customer and business requirements by being close to the development team as they improve and validate products.
* Supporting achievement of quality and cost improvement initiatives for the full product range.
* Creation and checking of technical drawings.
* Ensuring PIs are written and released in line with quality standards and timing plan requirements.
* Co-ordination of Project timings and resource, along with ensuring prototype builds take place as planned and in line with quality / timing expectations.
* Presentation at team design reviews.
Senior Design Engineer Requirements:
* Ability to interface with other members of the larger team in the Group Engineering structure.
* Prepared to take the lead for technical decision making and ensure the needs of our customer are always fully understood and delivered.
* Self-starting and ability to make things happen.
* Good and logical problem-solving techniques.
* 3D CAD system operation (Unigraphics NX preferable) to conduct design and concept work.
* Demonstrate a sound grasp of mechanical engineering principles.
* Experience in Agricultural or Construction Machines / Attachments would be preferable but not essential.
* Willingness to be involved first hand in supporting the development team in their day-to-day activities.
