SEN Support Assistant - Chippenham
Are you a recent University graduate? Are you interested in supporting children with autism and other neurological conditions? Are you passionate about helping others, with a patient and encouraging approach?
A Specialist School near Chippenham is seeking a dedicated Graduate to join their team as an SEN Support Assistant. The school caters for children aged 4-16 with complex needs, including autism, sensory processing difficulties, communication challenges, and associated learning needs.
As an SEN Support Assistant, you will assist a class of 5 to 10 pupils, working closely with the school's teaching team, therapists, and support staff. Together, you will deliver individualized learning plans and interventions that promote each student's learning, independence, communication, and emotional well-being.
As an SEN Support Assistant, you will:
* Provide support and encouragement to help students reach their potential.
* Foster a calm, structured, and positive environment to reduce anxiety and build each pupil's confidence.
* Learn to roll out specialist interventions to support communication, social interaction, and sensory needs.
* Assist with challenging behaviors, pastoral care, and personal care.
