The role
As a Senior Fluid Analyst, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. An exciting opportunity for a talented, enthusiastic, and motivated Senior Fluid Analyst is available within our Mission Systems business unit. The role would see you joining the Analysis, Modelling & Simulation Team based at Ashton House, Bristol.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for delivery of fluid analysis to budget and timescale, as well as:
1. The origination and checking of fluid analysis documents produced by the team.
2. Supporting the development of fluid analysis methodology to improve accuracy and efficiency.
3. Supporting the development of fluid methods to ensure the Analysis, Modelling & Simulation Team are using the latest techniques and can address customer requirements, e.g., compressible or multiphase Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analyses.
4. Developing fluid analysis methods and rolling these out via training, both formal and informal to the rest of the team.
This role is full time and is a hybrid role with 1 day per week onsite at our Ashton House site.
Essential experience of the Senior Fluid Analyst:
5. Experience in fluid analysis in a high integrity environment, e.g., nuclear, defence.
6. A good understanding of first principle fluid dynamics.
7. A history of working to and improving fluid methodologies.
Qualifications for the Senior Fluid Analyst:
8. Mechanical Degree, or HND or HNC in an Engineering Discipline with demonstrable experience and capability.
9. Registered with a relevant Engineering Institution and working towards Professional Registration desirable.

10. The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
