Job summary The post holder will assist the Educational Administrator/Rota Lead in Anaesthetics in the provision of an efficient, effective admin and rota support service within anaesthetics for the medical staff, anaesthetic trainees, educational supervisors, clinical director and senior manager's within the Care Group. Work in conjunction with the Clinical Director, General Manager, Consultants and Service Delivery Manager to ensure medical staffing resources are allocated effectively and efficiently in order to meet elective and emergency service demands. The post holder will provide effective admin support for meetings, through the collation and preparation of meeting related documents acting as minute/note taker for meetings. Deal with incoming queries as appropriate from service users in a manner that is consistent with legislation, policies and procedures, taking any necessary action as required, and where necessary take accurate written messages and pass onto the associated staff members where appropriate. Main duties of the job The post holder will provide full support to the Educational Administrator/Rota Lead within Anaesthetics with the preparation, maintenance and review of complex medical staffing rotas to ensure service delivery is fully optimised and all clinical sessions are fully utilised with the most appropriate staffing. To assist in the input of data into Electronic Rostering system for all anaesthetic medical staff; monitoring hours worked for anaesthetic trainees to ensure compliance with European Working Time Directive. The post holder will provide support for the educational requirements of the anaesthetic medical trainees including the rotational changes for Foundation and Deanery trainees and ensure the educational meetings take place and any actions arising are followed up. To arrange and co-ordinator weekly lunchtime meetings for the anaesthetic department liaising with medical representatives and key-stakeholders. The post holder will provide support as an efficient, effective and comprehensive administrative and secretarial service for the Clinical Director, Admin Consultant, Educational Leads and key staff within the anaesthetic team.
