Position Summary We have a great opportunity to join our state-of-the-art Coffee Manufacturing facility in Tutbury, Derbyshire in Coffee Manufacturing Specialist role The Coffee Manufacturing Specialist role ensures the elements of manufacturing excellence are delivered with a continuous drive to improve. A Coffee Manufacturing Specialist is responsible for full compliance for manufacturing safety, ensures maximum quality performance, targeting a Zero loss mind-set, develops training programs for Coffee Process master craft and facilitates the development of an open and proactive culture where people take pride & responsibility in what they do. The Nestlé Tutbury Factory in Derbyshire is one of the largest Nestlé factories in Europe after circa £500 million investment over the last few years. It is also the home of Nescafe and Dolce Gusto in the UK producing a range of beverage products. We are continually developing and expanding and so now is a great time to join us A day in the life of a Coffee Manufacturing Specialist Key responsibilities: - Coaching, training and assessing to ensure the capability of the team and the rigorous application of standards and methodologies, driving autonomy and accountability at all levels. - Leading development of the shopfloor team members, to provide appropriate skills to suit current and future needs aligned to business goals, using tools such as coaching, competence matrices and development plans. - Working with the Line Performance Management team and Engineering to coordinate and prioritise resource to achieve production and maintenance plans with quality execution of TPM. - Inputting into strategies and priorities for the line to deliver the drivers for the OMP in all key areas - SHE, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations and Cost. - Optimisation of the process technology to deliver improvements across all facets of Manufacturing excellent, delivered through deep process knowledge and understanding - Accountable for the process safety compliance for the area, ensuring updates to STs and GUs are implemented in a timely fashion. What will make you successful We are looking for candidates who have the passion to explore and be dynamic with improvement projects. Other key attributes will include: - Previous experience working in Technical & Production with an FMCG environment - Coffee Manufacturing Process Master Craft and a solid foundation of coffee process knowledge - TPM expertise would be ideal. - Able to prioritise and can challenge the status quo - Able to implement new processes and lead initiatives - Demonstrated understanding of Safety, Quality and Engineering, - Displaying strong initiative and drive for continuous improvement with a natural coaching & development style and a genuine interest in people and process development. - Problem solving mindset. - GSCE Maths and English grade 9 - 5 (A- C) minimum and Degree in STEM subject preferable.
