Job Description
Key Responsibilities:\n\nUndertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems throughout the building.\nCarry out electrical fault-finding, testing, and inspection on systems including lighting, fire alarms, emergency lighting, and power distribution boards.\nPerform routine testing, including electrical inspection and condition reports (EICR) in line with current regulations.\nRepair or replace electrical components and wiring, ensuring full compliance with relevant standards.\nEnsure compliance with 18th Edition wiring regulations (BS 7671) and health & safety protocols.\nConduct regular site inspections, record findings, and complete relevant compliance paperwork accurately.\nSupport the wider engineering team and collaborate on wider building services tasks when required.\nLiaise with clients and stakeholders, providing excellent customer service and maintaining strong working relationships.\nIdentify and suggest opportunities for energy savings and system improvements.\n\nKey Requirements:\n\nLevel 3 qualification in Electrical Installations (City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent) - Essential.\n18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification - Essential.\nProven experience working as a Maintenance Electrician within commercial building environments.\nStrong experience in fault finding, testing, inspection, and electrical maintenance.\nExperience maintaining and repairing lighting systems, alarms, power distribution boards, emergency lighting, and control panels.\nSound understanding of health & safety procedures, compliance regulations, and safe working practices.\nGood communication skills and professional, client-focused approach.\nAbility to work independently, under pressure, and as part of a team.\n\nWhat's On Offer:\n\nCompetitive salary - £43,000 - £47,000\nMonday to Friday working pattern (08:00 - 17:00).\n25 days annual leave + bank holidays.\nCompany pension scheme.\nOngoing professional development & training opportunities.\nAccess to employee benefits platform including retail discounts & wellbeing support.\nOpportunity to work at one of Central London's most prestigious trophy commercial buildings, supported by a top-class FM team.Randstad CPE values diversity and promotes equality.
