Role Overview As a Purchasing Manager, you will oversee the site’s purchasing function, ensuring seamless procurement processes, cost-effectiveness, and supplier performance. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive efficiencies and contribute to the success of the organization. Essential Skills & Qualifications Part-qualified or fully qualified CIPS professional. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a purchasing role. Experience working within a manufacturing environment is desirable Strong academic background (A-Level/NVQ level or equivalent). Advanced Excel proficiency (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIF, IFERROR). Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to interpret technical drawings. Experience in preparing and delivering PowerPoint presentations. Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail. Willingness to travel as required. Salary Package: Competitive Annual Salary - £45,000 - £50,000 (DOE) Non -contractual bonus, linked to organizational performance. Flexible on-site working. Track and report cost savings by maintaining accurate forecasts and records. Organize supplier meetings and site visits within the UK. Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and stock level maintenance. Monitor budgets and update supplier logs. Conduct RFQs, ensuring competitive pricing while meeting regulatory and customer requirements. Act as a key negotiator with suppliers, supported by relevant departments. Present site results for indirect spending during quarterly group/global meetings. Maintain and monitor supplier performance KPIs and scorecards. Manage contracts for site services, including drafting termination letters when necessary. Proactively identify and implement cost-saving opportunities.
