Our Client, an M&E services installer, is seeking a Materials Buyer. The role will suit candidates with experience in purchasing within manufacturing/engineering.
The ideal Materials Buyer will have M&E industry experience/knowledge - Mechanical and Electrical e.g. installation, service, sales, trade counter, plumbing, heating etc.
Hours: 7.30am to 4.30pm or 8am to 5pm
Lunch Break: 1 hour
Benefits: 21 days leave + BH, contributory pension scheme, free parking
Note: No hybrid working available.
Requirements
* Ideally previous experience in procurement.
* Understanding of market research, data analysis, and purchasing principles.
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work autonomously, using own initiative.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
* Ability to build effective collaborative working relationships.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to work quickly and accurately.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Materials Buyer Main Responsibilities
* Develop long-term supply relationships with key vendors employing Supply Chain Management techniques to ensure the timely and cost-effective supply of all materials.
* Process purchase order acknowledgements and advise relevant personnel when problems arise.
* Run various reports to define weekly exceptions, i.e., late order and open order reports.
