What you need to be successful
* You possess a valid post-secondary diploma as an Occupational Therapy & Physiotherapy Assistant
* Ability to travel within the Newmarket and surrounding community - valid driver's license and car insurance is required
* You can assist/teach exercise programs and train activities of daily living, including the use of assistive devices
* You can provide gait and balance training
* You are knowledgeable in the use of therapeutic equipment
* You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel
* Your focus is to embrace person and family-centered care
* You are passionate, empathetic, use good judgement, and apply critical thinking when making client decisions
* You are known for your excellent communication skills and ability to work in collaboration within an interdisciplinary team as well as work independently
* You value the role a therapist assistant plays in keeping clients at home when that is of personal importance
