Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – SEN Department

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience, £90 - £100

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled HLTA to work within the SEN departments of secondary schools, providing tailored support to students with additional needs. You will play a crucial role in enhancing student learning, fostering independence, and working closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver high-quality education and support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide targeted support to students with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
* Plan and deliver intervention sessions in line with EHCPs and individual learning plans.
* Support the classroom teacher in managing behaviour and promoting a positive learning environment.
* Lead small group and one-to-one sessions to reinforce learning and boost student confidence.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff and parents/carers.
* Assist in the development of differentiated resources and strategies to support SEN students.
Requirements:
* Level 4 qualification or above in a relevant field (HLTA qualification preferred).
* Experience working in a secondary school SEN department.
* A strong understanding of SEN strategies and best practices.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A current Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
