Hamilton Woods Associates are currently working on behalf of a not-for-profit organisation, who are recruiting for a Children and Family Support Worker to work across their service for families affected by domestic violence and homelessness.
Responsibilities of the Children and Family Support Worker:
* Supporting children, young people and families living within refuge services
* Organising and creating group play sessions for children of all ages that have experienced domestic abuse
* Undertaking risk assessments
* Ensuring safeguarding procedures are followed
* Leading play activities during school holidays and after school
* Creating family-based activities families to facilitate children and parent relationships
* Supporting positive parenting by providing parenting support and programmes
* Providing practical information and assistance to women about local services for children, such as nurseries or school
* Fostering multi-agency working
Essential Criteria of the Children and Family Support Worker:
* UK Driving License and access to own vehicle
* Enhanced DBS
* Experience working within a similar supported living environment
