We are seeking to appoint a Midday Supervisor to join our team of 11 lunchtime supervision staff. The duties for this post will start at 11.45 and finish at 1.15, Monday to Friday. (Pupils’ lunch break is between 12.10 and 12.55). Staff run a number of lunchtime activities each day to support lunchtime supervision. Children eat their lunches in our two halls, with hot meals served in our recently built hall. Lunch is divided into two servings. Lunchtime supervisors are required to set up trestle tables, benches and chairs prior to the lunch break, and to clean and tidy away the furniture after children have eaten. For this reason, the post involves some lifting and handling. The team of Midday Supervisors is managed by a Senior Midday Supervisor. The team meets on a regular basis with the Headteacher to share information and work through any issues. Christchurch Junior School is a large, popular community school, which caters for over 500 children aged between 7 and 11 years. The children spend four years here. The classes are organised in year groups hosting four classes each. We welcome children from all walks of life, all faiths and all abilities.
