Accountancy Recruit is partnering with a renewable energy provider / construction business in the recruitment of a Finance Manager to work alongside the Finance & HR Director in the management of the accounts function for two subsidiaries, based in Colchester. The role is responsible for the day-to-day transactions, month end close, CIS processing and HR administration. Job Description (As on job boards) Finance 80% Processing day to day transactions for two subsidiaries Maintenance of the purchase ledger, accurately coding invoices and matching to purchase orders Automated raising of invoices on the sales ledger, checking pricing details and allocating payments Credit control; chasing outstanding debt and reporting cash position to the Directors CIS – submitting and verifying new subcontractors, payments and returns Processing weekly payment run for Directors’ approval Monthly bank reconciliations Assisting with the monthly VAT returns (checking for errors) Assisting with the weekly payroll for subcontractors and checking time-sheets / monthly payroll for permanent employees Assisting with monthly management accounts produced to 5-day deadline including P&L and balance sheet reconciliation Monthly repayments and accruals HR 20% HR administration for permanent employees and sub-contractors Processing holiday requests, contracts and new starter information including completion of contracts Administering DBS checks Subcontractors – checking and monitoring all insurance documents and qualifications (active/in date) So, if you are currently working as a Finance Manager, Bookkeeper, Assistant Accountant or aspiring Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant, who would like to complete AAT studies and join a growing business, then please apply now Requirements and Skills AAT qualification or Qualified by Experience Experience of Xero would be an advantage Confident, and collaborative approach Construction background and experience of CIS would be an advantage Good Excel skills Remuneration Salary £30-40,000 pa Study support Hours: 40 hours per week.
