We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Health & Safety (H&S) and On-the-Job Training (OJT) Coordinator to join our team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safety, wellbeing, and training of our workforce. Key Responsibilities:
• Daily/Shift H&S Audits: Conduct routine audits to identify non-conformities and suggest improvement opportunities.
• “Buddy” for New Starters: Act as a mentor to ensure smooth onboarding and provide ongoing support.
• Incident Reporting and Investigation: Report near misses and conduct thorough accident investigations to mitigate future risks.
• PPE Management: Oversee personal protective equipment ordering, storage, and issuance.
• Training Programs: Develop, deliver, and periodically test OJT programs, including theoretical and practical training sessions.
• Fire and First Aid Training: Conduct fire safety and first aid training while managing the first aid room.
• Emergency Roles: Serve as a Fire Marshall and First Aider.
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Collaborate with departments to create and update SOPs.
• Risk Assessments: Perform detailed risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
• Corrective Actions: Work with the H&S and OJT Manager to implement and manage corrective actions.
• H&S Committee Representation: Act as the voice of the team in H&S committee meetings.
What We’re Looking For:
• A confident communicator who can challenge existing processes and suggest improvements.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills to juggle multiple priorities effectively.
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to safety, training, and compliance.
• Experience in a similar role or relevant qualifications in Health & Safety or Training are advantageous.
Required Experience and Skills:
• A good level of spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across all departments and all levels.
• A genuine desire to help others and a proactive mindset to drive positive change within the workplace.
• A team-oriented approach, demonstrating empathy and adaptability when working with colleagues.

Mon to Thurs 6am to 6pm - £15 per hour
Mon to Thurs 6pm to 6am - £17.17 per hour
Fri to Sun 6am to 6pm - £16.83
Fri to Sun 6pm to 6am - £20.00
