The Lalley Centre is a welcoming space, community pantry and allotment in North Manchester. We are looking to recruit a Project Support Officer (Social Action) to ensure the smooth-running of all Caritas’ Social Action projects.
As the Project Support Officer (Social Action), you will build positive relationships with people using the services and use opportunities to signpost to services which can support. You will also deliver excellent customer service to donors, supporters, people using the services, volunteers, and those with general enquiries about all projects via email, telephone, and in person.
Additionally, you will provide day-to-day administrative support to the Social Action Team and Head of Social Action, as well as completing finance procedures and health and safety checks.
You will have excellent IT and admin skills, including Microsoft 365. The ability to work independently, proactively, and use your own initiative is essential, along with referring matters to a higher level for decision making.
The role will require availability to work on Wednesdays and Fridays at the Caritas Lalley Centre between 9:30am to 14:30pm and at least one evening per week at Caritas Cornerstone until 18:30pm.
If this sounds like the next step you are looking for and you would like to work in a service passionate about supporting people to find new homes and rebuild their lives, then we would love to hear from you!
