NRL are currently recruiting Production Team Leaders to join a world-leading, global Battery Manufacturing organisation based in the North East of England to support the development and operation of a world class, innovative, large-scale mass manufacturing plant.\nThis is a unique and rare opportunity to join one of the most exciting, large scale, net zero industrial developments where new and emerging technologies will be adopted in support of the rapidly growing electric vehicle marketplace.\n\nMission and Main Objectives:\n\n As a vital member of the manufacturing team, the Team Leader will work alongside the Supervisor to ensure the seamless operation of the manufacturing process. The role involves leading, motivating, and managing a high-performing team to consistently meet and exceed KPIs, while driving operational efficiency, quality, and safety standards.\n\nOutline and Responsibilities: \n\nManage the operations of your allocated production zone.\nTrain and develop staff to enhance skills and performance.\nEnsure smooth execution of daily production tasks.\nAnalyse key performance data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.\nLead or coordinate improvements focused on reducing inefficiencies, improving quality, and enhancing overall production performance.\nCo-ordinate zone achievement of QCD targets.\nDeputise for the Supervisor if/when required.\nLead and promote the 5S and any Safety initiatives.\nSupport new plant preparation, installation & commissioning as required. \n Desired Experience and Qualifications:\n\nCommitment to achieving or holding Level 3 Team Leading Qualification.\nStrong understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles.\nExceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.\nDemonstrate a strong leadership capability with a strategic mindset\nProven ability to manage people, plan ahead, and lead teams effectively.\nHighly self-motivated with a results-driven approach.\nProven ability to initiate, implement, and track improvement initiatives.\nExperience in supervising and/or training team members (Preferred).\nDemonstrated experience in leading projects to successful completion.\nStrong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. \nWhat's in it for you?\n\nChance to work for a world class organisation\nCompetitive salary\n26 days holiday plus bank holidays\nBenefits including life assurance, dental plan, holiday purchase/ sell scheme, discounted gym membership \nPay based appraisals\nPension scheme\nIf this role is of interest, please apply today and a member of the team will be in touch regarding your application.\n\nThe NRL Group connect global companies with the right people to bring engineering projects to life.
