Credit Control Manager – Insurance / City of London / £40,000 - £60,000
Overview:
My client, a leading specialist insurance and reinsurance company based in the city, is currently recruiting for a Credit Control Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. The role will supervise a small team and report directly to the Finance Manager.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Manage a team of 2 credit controllers and promote a positive team approach.
2. Responsible for the credit control of all balances, including aged and bad debt.
3. Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders and develop relationships with various areas within the business (Claims, Finance, and Underwriting).
4. Collection, settlement, and allocation of all written premiums.
5. Ensure processes are followed at all times accurately.
Essential Skills & Experience:
1. 10+ years’ experience within credit control, specifically within the insurance sector.
2. Good understanding of payment terms in Lloyd’s format.
3. Experience managing a small team.
4. Good Microsoft Excel skills.
5. Great communication skills and attention to detail.
6. Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or a related field.
Package:
1. Salary dependent on experience, ranging between £40,000 - £60,000.
2. 25 days holiday + bank holidays.
3. Office based 4 days per week, WFH 1 day per week.
