Join our dynamic, multidisciplinary Water Engineering team as an Engineering Lead (Carbon Reduction) in our expanding offices in Exeter, Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds, Chesterfield, Birmingham, Croydon, St Albans, and Basingstoke. As our Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for technical leadership to reduce whole life carbon in our designs across our water sector project portfolio. Projects include waste and clean water treatment and pipeline projects for utility companies and flood risk management and environmental improvement schemes internationally. Here’s what you’ll do: Lead and Innovate: Guide and upskill our teams to reduce carbon in our designs, challenge the norm, and introduce innovative solutions. Make a Practical Impact: Utilize your engineering expertise and collaborate with fellow technical leaders to minimize the carbon footprint of our designs. Influence how we support our clients in achieving their net zero goals. Be a Carbon Expert: Stay informed about all aspects of carbon in the water sector, including operational emissions, embodied carbon, renewables, bioresources, sequestration, and nature-based solutions. Collaborate Globally: Work closely with other disciplines within AECOM, sharing best practices across our business and end markets. Engage with our global technical practice network to bring international best practices to our UK&I clients.
