Job summary An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Rosewood Palliative Care service for a Static band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the team on the Dewsbury site. This is a part time, 30 hours per week role with the shift pattern 8-4. There are no weekends or bank holiday requirements at this time. They will also act as a clinical educator for students and have experience of supervising. Main duties of the job We are looking for a highly motivated Occupational Therapist to join the service to play a key role in: To take a senior lead with community Palliative care and oncology service across North Kirklees To create links to the community services and provide specialist knowledge and skills to other teams within therapies. To provide peer support, supervision and second opinions to members of the team. To be responsible for the technical instructors on duty. To provide clinical education of occupational therapy students on placement. To undertake a management role where appropriate in the clinical setting, where overseeing, planning and implementing objectives for juniors and assistants is necessary. To assess and treat patients with complex needs within their own homes.
