This role will play a key role in the management of existing business, whilst exploring new fields for further expansion. Applicants will be comfortable in a commercial role, but capable of discussing issues of a technical nature.
Overview:
The successful candidate will work closely with customers to ensure their needs are met, provide technical guidance on thermoforming processes, and be the primary point of contact for all customer-facing technical sales matters. This role requires a blend of technical sales expertise and strong communication skills to build lasting customer relationships and deliver solutions that meet both customer requirements and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Serves as the primary technical point of contact for key accounts, addressing customer enquiries, troubleshooting issues, and offering solutions throughout the lifecycle of the product.
* Builds and develop new sales opportunities generated through company marketing activities and where appropriate via own initiative.
* Provides technical guidance to clients on optimizing thermoforming processes, including material selection, tooling design, and production techniques.
* Collaborate with customers and internal teams to assist in the development and design of new plastic display related products, ensuring they meet customer specifications and industry standards.
* Identify and resolve technical issues related to plastics processing - vacuum forming/thermoforming, such as material performance, process limitations.
* Assist the sales team in generating proposals, estimates and quotations for clients, ensuring that technical aspects of the project are thoroughly addressed.
* Works closely with the Technical team, manufacturing, and quality control teams to ensure the technical requirements are fully understood and integrated into production.
* 3-5 years of experience in a technical account management or engineering role, ideally, within the plastic thermoforming industry or a closely related field.
Skills:
* An appreciation of plastic thermoforming/vacuum forming processes, materials, and technologies.
* Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems in a customer-facing environment.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with customers and internal teams.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and industry standards.
