Description We are currently recruiting for a HR Advisor to join our London office to support the delivery of the firm's people objectives. The successful candidate will support the HR Manager in the provision of operational support to specific client groups (both fee earners and business services) and will have designated client groups to manage autonomously. The role is hybrid with an expectation of 60% time in the office. Responsibilities Responsible for the operational HR cycle for relevant groups including support for local contacts in allocated EME offices. Build and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders. Holds regular meetings with Partners / managers to understand support needed. Oversee and manage the new joiner / induction process for groups. Conduct exit interviews (where required) and new joiner meetings (exc Partners). Manage less complex disciplinary and grievance procedures autonomously. Dependent upon experience, manage more complex disciplinary and grievance procedures with support from Manager. Manage maternity/parental process for client groups. Manage flexible working requests. Support / manage client and inter-office secondments. Monitor absence and highlight any concerns to PGL / Line managers. Manage long term sickness absence meetings. Support HR Manager on Performance review / salary review process. Support and coach line managers in relation to performance issues. Support Manager with small scale restructures. Maintain groups structure charts to show size and shape of groups and ensure these are kept up to date at all times. Review, suggest changes and write HR policies. Ensure fair implementation of policies. Keep and record appropriate file notes. Is GDPR compliant. Delegate appropriately to shared services administration team and review output from that team to ensure quality service provided to the business. Support on HR department projects and other initiatives Approve people transactions via Peoplesoft and ensure all people changes recorded / notified to all relevant teams and noted in all related reports e.g. budgets / LOA reports. Key Skills, Attributes and Experience HR Advisor experience, preferably gained within a legal or professional services environment. Has a good knowledge of employment law Has a knowledge and understanding of GDPR. Customer service orientation. Pro-active self-starter. Sound knowledge base in all areas of HR lifecycle. Able to juggle multiple conflicting priorities. CIPD qualification is desirable. Excellent organisational and administration skills with strong attention to detail. Collaborative working style. Strong stakeholder management. Resilient when dealing with demanding clients. Flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities related to role.
