The role involves manual labour dealing with day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of our recycling site in Manchester. You must be able to work with minimal supervision and be able to follow instructions when given. Work of a differing nature may also be available in other areas of the site from time to time as part of the firms commitment to the training and development of it's workforce. Hours of work: Average 42.875 hours per week: 12.25 hour shifts on a 2 week rotating shift pattern (Week One: 3 on 4 off. Week Two: 4 on 3 off) Competitive rates of pay and regular overtime available paid at premium rates. Key Responsibilities: Keeping to Health and Safety rules and complying with safe working practices at all times Wearing Personal Protective Equipment and Clothing in line with company policy Removing blockages from machinery as and when required Keeping areas clean and free from any hazards where and when instructed The shovellingand cleaning of all waste materials and dirt Moving items with a Forklift as requested (must be suitably qualified) Maintenance of site buildings and surfaces when required To carry out any additional duties that may be reasonably requested from time to time To comply with Company policies and procedures as defined in the Employee Manual and the post holders terms and particulars of employment Essential skills: The ability to read signs, forms, instructions, manuals applicable to the role Desirable Skills GCSE grade D or above in English and Maths
