The Securities Services Regulatory, Tax and Mandatory Change Portfolio is part of the wider Securities Services Strategic Execution Team. We ensure effective and efficient definition, planning, management and execution of global and regional change programmes that are driven by regulatory or tax compliance requirements, or that are mandatory in nature and driven from the CCO or COO functions. Programmes of work often span the organisation and may have HSBC Group or GBM sponsorship.
We are currently seeking a high calibre individual to join the team in the role of Hybrid BA/PM – Regulatory and Tax
This role will require you to lead on key packages of analysis to help define scope, clarify requirements, timelines and delivery plans. It is expected that this role will work closely with relevant SMEs, Operations and Technology stakeholders to develop a sufficient understanding of key processes (inc. operating models, IT infrastructure, data flows etc.) in order to work independently and support analysis planning.

In this role, you will:
* Provide or support high quality project delivery services in line with the strategic objectives of the business.
* Elicit requirements using interviews, process analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
* Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
* Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional business requirements and deliver artefacts as needed in line with HSBC project templates and methodologies.
* Leverage strong analytical and product management skills required to build a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into applicable operational requirements
To be successful in this role you should meet the following:
* Proven Business Analyst/Project Manager with a track record in the successful delivery of fast-paced, change initiatives is essential, along with some understanding of regulatory, tax compliance or mandatory driven change
* Previous experience working with third party vendors and outsource providers will be advantageous
* Knowledge of Securities Services, experience in business and process analysis and re-engineering and an ability to understand complex processes and identify solutions
* Self-motivated and able to work independently, and under own initiative with a sense of ownership and accountability.
* Experience of planning and delivery of business change initiatives through complete project life-cycle.
* Superior stakeholder management skills - Must be a strong communicator both verbal and written with a comprehensive understanding of content and context
