The Federation of Blue Coat Infant and Junior Schools are looking to appoint a nurturing and enthusiastic teaching assistant to support a pupil with an Education and Health Care plan based in a Key Stage 2 mainstream classroom. The Governors are looking for an individual who understands the principles of nurture. Recent experience of or knowledge of supporting children with attachment and trauma issues would also be beneficial. The successful candidate will have experience across the primary age range with the ability to adapt and scaffold tasks to best suit the needs of individual pupils, providing high quality learning experiences adapted to meet needs identified within an EHCP. Candidates should have a range of behaviour management strategies that support the relational behaviour policy of the Federation. We are looking to appoint a truly nurturing, enthusiastic, resilient and highly motivated Teaching Assistant who can think creatively and have the determination to secure the best possible outcomes for every child. The successful applicant will hold an appropriate NVQ 2 qualification or equivalent.
