This is an exciting opportunity to join the Speech and Language Therapy Service, supporting administrative and clerical processes.
We are a large and dynamic service of more than 150 staff working across Derbyshire.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to provide a professional administrative support service to the DCHS SLT managers/team leaders and staff.
You will help SLTs, SLPs, and SLTAs deliver an effective clinical service to SLT caseloads by providing efficient administrative and secretarial support.
You will maintain an efficient and effective service of staffing information, maintain confidentiality of clinical and staffing information, and communicate well with service providers and users at all levels.

We employ around 4,200 substantive staff, caring for patients in 11 community hospitals and more than 30 health centres, as well as in clinics, GP practices, schools, care homes, and increasingly, in people's own homes and via virtual consultations.

Person Specification
Education, Qualifications and Training
* English Language qualification (for example GCSE or equivalent)
* NVQ3/RSA III/OCR3/ECDL Advanced or equivalent, CLAIT or equivalent
* Word-processing certificate
Experience and Knowledge Required
* Experience of providing secretarial/support services
* Knowledge of detailed secretarial procedures, software programmes, and specialised functional terms
* Previous NHS experience
* Understanding of speech and language therapy
Skills and Attributes
* Able to communicate with the public and professionals at all levels
* Precise message taking and relaying of messages and ability to deal with interruptions
* Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively, at times working to tight deadlines
* Ability to work with minimal supervision
