Are you highly organised teacher with a good understanding of SEND?
The Dove-Shell Federation is opening an additional resourced provision at St Thomas Moorside from September 2025. The provision will cater for 12 pupils with ASD or Social Communication Needs (SLCN) funded by the LA. The 12 place provision will enable the increasing number of pupils with ASD / SLCN to benefit from attending a mainstream school, whilst also receiving specialist input relevant to the child’s needs. The classroom has a sensory room, snug area and a small formal teaching area. The intention of the governing body is to fill the places gradually, starting with our own federative children. The successful applicant will have the support of a unit leader and 3 LSA’s. These staff will provide forest school, ELSA and therapeutic interventions. The unit will have a mini-bus and driver to provide the pupils with educational experience in the community.
The start date for this position is1st September 2025.

Applicants will be highly organised, flexible, enthusiastic and be able to work as part of an effective and hard-working team. Experience with working with SEND and ASD pupils would be desirable.
