Lesson Lead Part time, Temporary, Leyland About the Role We are looking for a motivated and reliable Lesson Lead to join our team in Leyland. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about supporting students and education, with a focus on maintaining a positive classroom environment while covering for teachers who are absent. As a Lesson Lead, you will supervise and manage classroom activities, ensuring that students remain on task and complete any work left by the class teacher. You will play a key role in supporting students' learning and ensuring their safety and well-being while under your supervision. Our pupils need engaging, creative, practical learning and so delivering staff need the ability to thrive in a flexible curriculum structure and fully utilise our fantastic facilities to offer personalised programmes. Key Responsibilities Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher. Ensure that students follow lesson instructions and complete set tasks. Maintain discipline and a positive classroom environment. Assist students with queries related to the lesson, as appropriate. Manage classroom behaviour to ensure a safe and productive learning atmosphere. Report any issues or concerns to the relevant staff members. About You Previous experience working with young people (in any capacity) is desirable but not essential. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with students. Confidence in managing a classroom and maintaining order. Adaptable, proactive, and able to work on your own initiative. A calm and positive approach to problem-solving.
