Position Overview:
We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Research Nurse to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in the coordination and execution of clinical trials, ensuring they are conducted safely, ethically and efficiently. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled nurse who is passionate about contributing to the advancement of clinical research and patient care. This role is full time, and based on-site in our Teesside clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Screening of potential trial participants demonstrating knowledge of specific study protocols as required.
2. Perform study appointments and related procedures which typically include, vital signs, obtaining blood and urine samples, ECG recording, documenting medical history, administration of study medication (although this will vary per study).
3. Data entry and safety reporting.
4. Record keeping must be accurate and legible with great attention to detail.
5. Maintain up to date record of training.
6. Optimise participant retention by developing good rapport and displaying professionalism at all times.
7. Ensuring trial related nursing activities related to a wide range of therapeutic areas are undertaken in accordance with NMC Code of Conduct, company SOPs, Good Clinical Practice (ICH-GCP) and GDPR compliant.
8. Ability to work under own initiative but always as part of the wider research team, maintaining good working relationships.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. NMC registration with no limitations to practice (essential).
2. Experience in clinical research.
3. Willingness to learn.
4. Excellent communication skills.
5. IT skills would be an advantage.
