To be responsible for the daily monitoring and allocation of Radiology reports, ensuring reports are acquired within KPIs.
To take required actions and liaise with clinical teams to ensure reports are achieved.
The post holder is responsible for the management of their own workload.
To provide day-to-day allocation of radiology examinations for reporting, allocating them to the appropriate reporting folder and monitoring completeness, ensuring that internal standards are achieved/maintained. The post holder will be accountable for any breach in KPI which has not been escalated to the Directorate Manager.
Main duties of the job
1. Ensure daily that reporting requirements are achieved, reallocating workloads to meet fluctuations in demand due to sickness absence and holidays. This may require negotiation with Clinical staff and may deal with contentious issues requiring the ability to communicate professionally, sensitively, and effectively.
2. Monitor all diagnostic reporting folders daily and ensure that reports are completed within internal standards, reallocating where required to ensure adherence to standards.
3. Analyse reporting waiting times to identify potential areas of concern in advance and take appropriate action to resolve or escalate.
4. Liaise and communicate with external providers to manage agreed processes for the transfer of sensitive confidential information for reporting purposes and ensure that reports are managed and received timely to adhere to internal standards.
5. Monitor and manage work allocation to ADD folders, ensuring all allocations are completed within KPI or taking responsibility to re-allocate to ensure standards are achieved.
6. Communicate and alert Radiologists and reporting radiographers to any urgent examinations requiring urgent action.
7. Attend and contribute to staff meetings and project team meetings.

Person Specification
Education
* A Level qualifications at grade A-C or equivalent qualifications OR evidence of equivalent relevant training and experience.
* NVQ Level 4 or diploma in administration or healthcare sciences or equivalent experience.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
* Knowledge of National NHS targets including: Diagnostic, RTT, Cancer.
* Ability to build and develop good working relationships across a range of services and organisations.
* Ability to influence/persuade others with a positive approach and respect for work colleagues.
* Ability to work independently and manage a complex workload.
* Ability to analyse and interpret data and prepare written reports, exercising judgement on data requiring escalation.
Experience
* Experience of monitoring and managing waiting lists, waiting times, and targets.
* Experience of analysing sensitive data.
* Experience of working in a patient care setting or customer-facing environment and dealing with sensitive situations.
* Previous experience of the CRIS/PACS systems.
