We are looking for a plasterer multi to join us on a permanent basis to support our repairs and maintenance business unit (which may include planned works, responsive repairs, disrepair, voids and compliance workstreams) with a range of high-quality repairs and maintenance work associated with ongoing projects, predominantly in social housing.
Key responsibilities include:
Performing a range plastering duties including recording and reporting outcomes of work, liaising with schedulers, planners and supervisors/management to ensure projects are completed on time and to the highest standard.
* Repair domestic and/or commercial buildings including the formulation and application of plaster to internal walls and ceilings,
* Apply render and finishes to internal/external walls
* Use appropriate tools and equipment associated with the task.
* Following technical drawings, plans and instruction as required.
* Build excellent working relationships with colleagues, client and their designated partners.
* Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows any applicable regulatory codes, blueprints, industry, and health and safety standards.
* Complete required documentation of repairs and service information.
* Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts.
* Comply with all safe working policies and procedures
* Communicate effectively with the wider repairs and maintenance personnel in team as well as liaise with clients, suppliers and other trades
Qualifications, skills and abilities:
* NVQ level 2 in Plastering (or equivalent)
* Qualified in a secondary or multi-trade discipline.
* Experience of plastering in residential and commercial environments.
* Skilled in Plastering and ability to complete a range of multi-trade duties such as (such as tiling, painting and decorating, basic carpentry etc.)
* A good communicator, with the ability to build positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders including clients, contractors, colleagues.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and good attention to detail.
* Good time management with the ability to work to deadlines.
* Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Teams, Outlook and job management software (E.g. Accurserv).
* Full clean UK Driving Licence – driving required for the role.
Working arrangements
Hours: 36 hours per week (Mon – Fri)
Location: Barking & Dagenham area (travel throughout the borough will be required as part of the role
Pay: £38, per annum
Driving is required as part of the role as such as full clean UK driving licence is essential.
