The Role
As a Senior Product Designer in the Customer Business, you will lead the product design team in our Centre of Excellence with responsibility for delivering user-centric patterns and solutions across our family of digital products, used primarily by our customer service, sales, and meter operations agents.
You will bring a passion for design thinking and experience of leading a team in a dynamic and fast-moving environment, delivering high-quality, scalable design solutions grounded in user needs.
What you’ll be doing
The Senior Product Designer will be accountable for the UX and UI design for the changes and improvements to the digital applications. You will possess strong technical and leadership skills to enable you to lead the implementation of the UX strategy and drive delivery across the design team.
* Leadership and coordination: leading a team of product designers, managing junior team members, and coordinating activities to facilitate effective communication and timely project delivery. Ensuring projects are appropriately resourced with specialists such as user researchers and content designers to achieve the best outcomes while maintaining velocity.
* Data driven improvements: delivering solutions and driving iterative improvements using data analysis and user insights whilst resolving complex CX problems through root cause analysis.
* Project management: handling multiple digital projects simultaneously, balancing internal and external product backlogs to meet delivery timescales.
* Collaboration and stakeholder management: collaborating with various workstreams and stakeholders, managing relationships to ensure compliance and alignment.
* Digital platform optimisation: overseeing the design, usability, and continual improvement of digital platforms, and promoting a culture of design thinking and user testing.
What you'll bring
* Educated to Bachelor's Degree in design or a relevant subject, or hold a relevant certification.
* Experience of working in an IT environment, with designs, wireframes, prototypes, and user journey mapping.
* Significant experience of working with Figma, Miro and other design-related tools.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in influencing stakeholders and leading a team to deliver to project milestones and objectives.
* Speak English to C2 proficiency or be a native speaker.
