A Maternity Support Worker works under the direction of a registered midwife; helping to care for mothers and babies supporting the smooth running of the labour ward, inpatient wards, antenatal clinic and day assessment unit. Performing basic clinical tasks - supporting hygiene, hydration, vital signs and dietary needs Preparing women for clinical examination and tests Updating records Cleaning and preparing the birthing environment & equipment Escalating concerns to a registered midwife or nurse This list is not exhaustive, and we encourage you to refer to the attached Job description.
