Overview
As a Senior Engagement Strategist working within Langland's Advertising discipline, you will lead projects with the support of agency Strategy Directors, helping our clients plan and deliver connected experiences that flex across paid, owned and earned channels.
You will gather insights and use those to shape people-powered strategies on a range of platforms and channels including email, CRM, web, in-person, paid and earned media. You will have the confidence and maturity to help clients on their change journeys, by shaping test-and-learn pilots that gather data and insights, as well as running workshops building transformation strategies.
Furthermore, you will work across the Publicis Health and Publicis Groupe UK networks to build relationships with data-driven strategy experts and resource with whom we can partner to deliver.
Responsibilities
You’ll need to be a fast-thinking, articulate strategist who thrives on complex challenges, with a proven ability to build trust and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders.
Insights & Strategy:
1. Develop experience, engagement, and channel strategies which help healthcare brands achieve business objectives and strengthen their relationships with people.
2. Leverage a range of strategic frameworks and planning tools to break down customer, communication, and channel strategies into actionable engagement plans.
3. Simplify and synthesise the complex into clear, actionable insights and strategic deliverables.
4. Understand and plan for the distinct role of communications channels within a brand strategy, including web, CRM and F2F channels, as well as how to connect those channels together around the needs of specific audiences to deliver increasing levels of personalisation.
5. Leverage and appropriately apply in-depth knowledge of a range of quant and qual research techniques.
6. Develop integrated comms strategies based on audience insights along their engagement journey, defining the role of content and channels to drive high value actions at key moments.
7. Develop test-and-learn plans and pilots to run in-market, using messages and creative to build an evolving understanding of our customers preferences based on analysis of behaviours.
8. Use your understanding of data and tech platforms, data strategy, and measurement planning to inform engagement strategies.
9. Define the holistic omnichannel measurement strategies and KPIs and performance analytics for client accounts including test-and-learn/optimisation recommendations.
Client & Team Engagement:
1. Act as the strategic lead across on key projects; on larger agency accounts work under the leadership of Strategy Directors.
2. Guide and lead more junior strategists to contribute to key workstreams and deliverables.
3. Provide guidance and/or training on a wide range of engagement strategy topics.
4. Plan and lead client workshops.
5. Drive organic growth with clients by identifying and seizing new opportunities.
6. Lead or support strategy on key new business pitches.
Communication & Collaboration:
1. Tell great stories and to construct beautiful, simple strategic presentations.
2. Present confidently, prepare agendas and lead workshops (virtual, hybrid, F2F).
3. Collaborate effectively with the internal team to ideate, problem-solve, and succeed.
4. Collaborate effectively and build ideas with the team, whether within Langland or any of our sister agencies within Publicis Groupe.
5. Be entrepreneurial and comfortable working with limited but guided oversight.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience in an engagement strategist role.
2. Skilled at unpacking complex business challenges, discerning insights, and shaping plans that drive business results.
3. Well versed in omnichannel strategy, and can confidently help brands and businesses design engagement programmes which flex across digital and face-to-face channels.
4. Experience in running workshops and brainstorms to develop both strategic deliverables and creative ideas.
5. Broad expertise in defining the strategy across the range of digital touchpoints, channels and platforms.
6. Experience developing strategies with data-driven segments, personalised journeys, test-&-learn calendars, and marketing automation.
7. Experience with data and measurement strategy.
8. Familiarity with marketing tech stacks and the role of MDM, CDP, preference management, DAM, CMS, CRM, web analytics, automated reporting, etc. in shaping and delivering connected, personalised omnichannel strategies.
9. Experience with modular content strategy and experience planning.
10. Experience in insight analysis across a wide range of inputs: secondary research, social analytics, primary research, digital channel engagement data, including good skills in Excel (analytics data, performance reports, etc.).
11. Experience leading and delivering client projects independently, with minimal oversight.
12. Global healthcare experience is strongly desirable.
