About the Role: As a SEND Teaching Assistant with Teach Match, you will work alongside classroom teachers to support children with a variety of special educational needs (SEND). Your role will be vital in helping students access the curriculum, engage with learning, and achieve their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with SEND, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs. Assist with classroom management and ensure a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Help students with emotional, social, and behavioural challenges to stay focused and engaged. Support students with personal care where required, following relevant guidelines and ensuring their safety and well-being. Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs) for students. Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and other support staff. Support students during breaks, lunchtime, and extra-curricular activities where needed. What We're Looking For: Experience working with children with SEND, either in a classroom or a support role. A caring, patient, and proactive approach to supporting children with diverse needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both students and staff. A commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Flexibility and the ability to adapt to different classroom settings and student needs. A relevant qualification (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
