They are seeking a passionate and experienced SENCO Teacher to lead and support their Special Educational Needs (SEN) provision, ensuring all pupils receive the tailored support they need to thrive. Duties as a SENCO Teacher: Oversee and coordinate SEN provision across the school. Identify and assess students with special educational needs and develop individual learning plans (IEPs). Work closely with teachers, teaching assistants, and external agencies to implement effective support strategies. Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and maintain accurate records. Provide training and guidance to staff on best practices in SEN teaching. Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students. Monitor and evaluate the impact of SEN interventions and adjust strategies accordingly. Ideal SENCO Teacher: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete it) Experience working with children with special educational needs Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and current SEN legislation Excellent communication and organisational skills A commitment to inclusion and supporting all learners Why Class Act?
