About the Company: My client, a prominent local authority within the South West, is seeking to recruit a skilled Fire Safety Manager for an initial 6-month contract. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and compliance of fire risk management across a range of buildings, including council housing, corporate offices, and operational buildings.
Responsibilities:
* In-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations, standards, and best practices (e.g., Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, Building Regulations, and PAS 7).
* IFE membership.
* Experience in delivering fire safety training and raising awareness among staff.
* Experience in conducting Fire Risk Assessments and managing the implementation of follow-up works.
* Local Authority Experience.
* Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
