As a Warehouse Supervisor, you’ll need to support the Warehouse management team to ensure all product is assembled and dispatched in an accurate, timely and safe manner. Liaise with other departments. Support and Monitor arrivals, orders, assembly and dispatch of goods. Have a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the warehouse operates.
Responsibilities:
* Deputise for the WH Manager in their absence.
* Support Warehouse and Breakdown staff daily workload and duties.
* Maintain Warehouse hygiene standards.
* Support all arrivals, order picking, assembly, labelling, and dispatch to ensure theyare completed in an accurate, timely and safe manner.
* Ensure Warehouse equipment is placed on charge every night and is maintained in a safe working order. Note: all damage or repairs must be reported to the Warehouse Manager immediately.
* Use space and mechanical handling equipment efficiently.
* Have a clear understanding of the company’s policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these requirements.
* Support training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress.
* Motivate, organise, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure
productivity targets are met or exceeded.
* Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene. COSHH and security in the work environment, for example, ensuring that stock such as chemicals and food are stored safely.
* Ensure a knowledge of Company policies and employment law and ensure relevant HR procedures are followed.
Hours of work – 1pm – 10pm
