The salary advertised is full time (35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Part-time hours/session posts will be pro-rated accordingly.
Hourly rate of pay: £15.52 - £16.58
This is a 39-week sessional post i.e. working hours will be during school term time plus in-service days.
Days and Hours of Work:
Monday - Thursday, 08:30-15:45 (45 minute break)
Friday, 08:30-12:30

An opportunity has arisen for a school Business Administrator to lead the administrative function at Ormiston Primary School which encompasses a wide variety of tasks and a high standard of customer service for all our school community and stakeholders. The role requires excellent MS Office skills, particularly Excel to support the financial monitoring and reporting required to assist the Head Teacher to manage the school budget effectively. Applications from experienced administrators who can demonstrate they are confident using spreadsheets to track financial transactions and with some HR or school experience would be welcomed. If you are well organised and can multi-task whilst being able to organise others; feel you are capable of using your initiative under pressure to meet deadlines and can deal with people on all levels this varied role offers a rewarding opportunity to be part of a small team and school community.
Ormiston Primary School is a non-denominational school, which has approximately 300 pupils from nursery to P7. We currently have 10 classes and our nursery delivers 1140 hours with children attending Monday and Tuesday or Wednesday and Thursday and every 2nd Friday.
The school building is of a traditional style that stands on the edge of the village of Ormiston. In addition to the ten classrooms we have a gym hall, library, music/modern languages and support for learning classrooms, a nursery and our own kitchens where meals are cooked and served.

Relevant Qualifications
Educated to HNC/SVQ3 in Administration or Information Management or equivalent and/or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and competencies gained through relevant experience.
