About Our Client
Our client, a leading bespoke food supplier based in Bedfordshire, is seeking a proactive and experienced Site Technical Manager to join their team on the day shift. They are market leaders in supplying bakery products for QSRs, food service, and major retailers around the UK. This role will be reporting into a Head of Technical and overseeing a team directly.
Job Description
* Maintain and oversee the site's Quality Management Systems to ensure compliance with customer and third-party standards.
* Lead factory audits and ensure adherence to food safety, hygiene, and legal requirements, maintaining BRC AA standards.
* Manage HACCP processes, including risk assessments and implementing controls for new products, processes, or raw materials.
* Drive continuous improvement by addressing non-conformances, implementing corrective actions, and supporting smooth product launches and changes.
* Lead and develop the technical team, fostering excellence and personal growth.
* Make decisions on non-conformances and daily factory operations, ensuring audit readiness at all times.
The Successful Applicant
* HACCP level 3
* Food Safety
* Well versed with BRC
* Able to manage and lead a team - responsible for a team of 4
* Able to work a shift pattern of Tuesday to Saturday or Sunday to Thursday (7am - 4pm or 8am - 5pm) - onsite.
* This role requires you to work one day of the weekend.
* Manufacturing experience is a must.
* Bakery experience is preferred.
