This position requires top-notch management skills that include leadership, training, inventory and ordering controls, scheduling and meeting labor budgets, staff development, and some exposure to the financial and administrative aspects of the business. Must be a strong motivator and possess great interpersonal communication skills.
Specific Responsibilities:
1. Experience and exposure in the family or upscale casual service
2. Strong understanding of food and food cost
3. Strong supervisory skills & training ability
4. Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
5. Have some working knowledge of financial reporting and budgeting
6. An understanding of controllable costs and administrative functions
7. The ability to handle stress and difficult situations with tact & diplomacy
8. Must be dependable & unquestionably honest
9. Must be flexible with the willingness to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
10. Ability to work at a very fast pace and take on several projects at one time
11. Must be highly organized and able to multi-task
The Responsibilities
1. Follows detailed budgets
2. Preparing and submitting daily, weekly, and monthly revenue totals
3. Hire, train, supervise, direct, coach, counsel, and evaluate staff in all areas
4. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to provide clear direction to the staff
5. Completes all scheduling and labour forecasts
6. Must be able to cooperate with other departments to foster & promote a harmonious working climate to maximize productivity & efficiency
7. Directly accountable for supervising up to 70 staff members
