SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead and manage a team of quantity surveyors while supporting the mobilisation of a significant government NEC4 FMC contract.
This is a high-profile role that requires a strong strategic mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and deep expertise in quantity surveying practices, with a particular focus on clause X27.
Job Description
As part of the Project Senior Leadership Team, you will play a critical role in shaping the project team and its delivery approach, both during mobilisation and beyond the contract's go-live date in October.
With the opportunity to influence one of ISS’s most significant accounts—our 3rd largest contract globally—this is a unique and impactful position.
During mobilisation, your focus will be on developing, preparing, and implementing processes and procedures aligned with industry best practices to ensure a seamless transition.
Once operational, you will ensure the efficient execution and management of ongoing project requirements, delivering exceptional results for this long-term strategic partnership.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage a team of quantity surveyors to support the mobilisation and delivery of a large NEC4 FMC government contract, focusing on projects under clause X27
* Lead the setup of governance, ensuring processes and procedures are established and aligned with best practices during mobilisation
* Collaborate with workstreams and ensure smooth integration of processes
* Utilise contract administration software (currently CEMAR) to manage contract operations effectively
* Oversee contract delivery post-mobilisation, including pricing, risk management, and supply chain management
* Provide day-to-day support to the Projects Director
* Demonstrate strategic thinking, strong leadership, and advanced quantity surveying expertise to ensure successful mobilisation and operational excellence
About You
* Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
* Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or equivalent (preferred)
* Extensive experience in quantity surveying
* Extensive experience with NEC contracts (preferably including NEC4)
* Strong leadership and team management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
* Commitment to continuous professional development and learning
