An opportunity has arisen for an Area Sales Manager to join the team covering the East Midlands territory, will also include surrounding counties in the South. The role: Managing East Midlands territory. Counties will include Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire and surrounding area. Selling to a mix of retailers including independent retailers, garden centres and small department stores Working as part of an independent sales team, striving to achieve targets both as a team and individually Work with autonomy, manage your own diary effectively and all journey plans Develop existing business and seek new business opportunities across the area Be a strong relationship builder, networker and have a passion for the industry Ideal candidate: Will need to have previous area sales or territory sales management experience Will need to have experience of operating in a territory or area sales manager role, comfortable being field based. Would be highly beneficial to have experience within customer channel including garden centres, independent retailers and small department stores. Will ideally have experience of operating in a non-food product category - for example gifting, home, toys, fragrances or a closely related industry. Will need to be ambitious, diligent, organised and able to manage your own diary and time effectively. Target driven, good at building relationships and enjoy being customer facing. Able to travel across the territory as per the needs of the role and business.
